Come on a Journey in Time through the scenic Muddy Creek Valley on the Famous Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad. A train of motorcars like those used by railroad maintenance-of-way crews will carry you on a 5.4 mile round trip along sparkling Muddy Creek. When you return explore the Ma & Pa Railroad Heritage Village. Listed as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places, the village includes the 1899 general store, which contains the railroad station and Post Office, a mill, grain elevator, fertilizer warehouse, bank barn, and original Ma & Pa RR equipment. Costumed interpreters will engage you in a lively discussion of what life was like a hundred years ago and how the railroad changed this rural farm community to a bustling commercial center.
